"The Kid" and "The Commitment" by Dan Savage

Has anyone else read these?

i dodn't really like his advice columns, and often disagree with his advice, but his essay writing about his life is ASTOUNDING.

i read "the kid" years ago, and LOVED it, ending up reading it twice more. it is the story of him and his boyfriend ado[pting their son, and it is incredible...

so then, i saw he had released another called "the commitment" which i bought last night, and it is almost as good.

anyone else read either?

I know his name but I can't recall how or why.

I hardly ever read books.

I think Savage is way funnier than Sedaris. I'm a big fan.

And yes, I've read them both, and really enjoyed both. The Commitment is pretty moving.

I read THE KID a while ago and loved it. I also read B.D. Wong's book about his baby.

pick up "the commitment", it's worth it if you like 'the kid"

especially seeing DJ (the kid) as a 6 year old really makes the kid better. i am gonna go back and read "the kid" again now.

Yey, I've had 3 days without a new book to read, and I'm jones-ing. I'll pick it up, hopefully, today.
