I Made A Salad And It Was Awful It was basically...
Celery, cucumber, spring onions, cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, a red pepper, walnuts, a Granny Smith apple, coleslaw, potato salad, mature cheddar, french dressing. I mixed it all together in a big bowl and it just didn't taste right. I think the problem was mixing sloppy things with rigid things. The walnuts tasted okay on their own with a bit of cheese, but with a mouthful potato salad, it was just odd.

I sometimes make myself a Fruited Nutty Spinach Salad. It has spinach (of course ), watermelon, muskmelon, mandarin orange slices, honeydew melon, walnuts, grapes, carrots and red cabbage. Top it off with a real good raspberry viniagrette dressing, and you've got yourself a great meal! The hardest part is finding a good dressing though, most of the ones I've tried have been icky tasting. A bad dressing will ruin a salad quicker than anything, I have found. [Edited 4/29/06 15:39pm] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

justin thats too much stuff it was probably the coleslaw and the potato salad that did it

Yeah, I think you killed it with the potato salad. You added a complete salad with it's own seasonings and flavors to another salad...bad combo.
Try it without the potato salad and with roamine lettuce or a spring mix of lettuces (baby spinach, romaine, endive, arugula, etc...) and go light on the dressing. I AM BEATLOAF

Ewwwww...I didn't even see the coleslaw! Yeah that was just way too much stuff...too many non-compatible flavors! I thought that because it looked good, it would taste good. I guess that less would have been more. It's currently residing in the fridge, covered in cling-film. I hate wasting food but I think it's beyond repair.

This would have been perfect. Why did you add the other stuff? Wanted: Virtual Sugar Daddy to help me buy stuff on Farmville and move up the ranks. Use of Viagra not authorized. Get your two minutes and go!

I loved it. Even the locals next to our table were having difficulties eating it, it was that spicy and hot. Thai food is excellent. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. I can't eat Thai food that's very spicy, which is why I do like Som Tam, since it's typically not overly spicy.
