yes fathers should be at the birth of thier chidren.

I held my daughter for the first six hours of her life, changed her first nappy (diaper). When they moved my family back to the ward, I think they had Top of the Pops 2 on and the Carpenters was playing 'close to you'. I play this on her birthday just for me and every time i have tears in my eyes. Just put in and yep tears!!!!

i'll never forget during the birth of my son, he was on his way and things were getting a bit crazy in there (the doctor was stuck in traffic) ... everyone was running around getting things ready and i said, "wait, i need a mirror"

the ENTIRE room looked at me like i was a nut lol as if i had to fix my hair or something lol...

i said, "no, i want to WATCH"

it was really funny, and i got my mirror thumbs up!

I'm not going romantacize it by saying that it is a beautiful experience.

It's a traumatizing, stressful, painful, and often tense experience. But (I'm going to sound like the raving Buddhist again), when the baby is finally born, and the room erupts in tears and jubilation, that part is beautiful, becuase at a very very basic level, the fragile nature of life and the obvious miracle of what it takes to give birth to it, becomes appearent in a way that can't be described except by experiencing it. Every selfish and greedy adult in that room is transformed into a protective being who only wants to bestow compassion on the newborn.

I walked in just after my first nephew was born, and saw the afterbirth, saw the bloody baby, and saw an exhuasted younger sister of mine lying there looking relieved, and I swear to God, it was the first time in my life I felt the presence of something devine. The very first time.

Men confound me, the way we've bought off on social norms of how to behave towards women, and towards ourselves. disbelief I mean, most of our fathers barely even know who we are.

Whover that idiot is that made that statement about being in the bar has my sympathies.

I would have been really upset if I wouldn't have been in the room for any of my kids being born. Each time I held my wife's hand and was there for her, and I can't imagine being anywhere else. I wasn't just there to see my babies right away, but to be there for Rachel as well. If anyone can't handle it, then they're just showing their ignorance and being selfish, but I would expect no less from SOME people (llama).

I've watched my three babies being born, and still I love giving oral to her. horny

Just as with any serious life event involving a couple, a decision like this needs to be worked out between the two involved. There are actually a few situations where the father being there might not be the best thing for either the pregnant woman or him. Since she's the one taking the physical risks, doing the work of labor and delivery, she needs to be supported and comfortable. Most of the time, this involves the father of the baby being there--other times, it might not.

Men should see as many childbirths as possible. Their own children. Other people's children. Repeatedly, with their eyelids held open.

But he hung in there after my first daughter was born he was soo confused he didn't know whether to hug and hold the first baby or wait for the next one to come out LOL..The the doctor took mercy on him and he ended up holding his new baby girl while he witnessed her sister coming into the world. He could not speak for 8 at least hours after that. He said he witnessed a miracle!

alright, i will modify. your friend is an immature idiot who should be barred from reproducing his immature and stupid ways, and pity the girl who was unfortunate enought to bear his retarded seed.

i mean, seriously, how old are you and he? 14?

I pity the girl because she's ugly.

What a person finds physically attractive has nothing to do with how old you are.

I have three kids and no one should witness childbirth, men or women. barf When my daughter was born, the doctor asked if i wanted a mirror. I told him: hell no. Didn't stop her dad from delivering the blow by blow to me. I felt like throwing up. I was like: Dude, shut the fuck up. If I don't want to watch it, you can be damn sure I don't want to hear about it.

And yeah, Savage is a fucking moron. biggrin
