I'll see it. It looks fun. smile I'm not really a Tom Hanks fan, but I'm not a Tom Hanks hater either. I find him an odd choice for the movie. But it can go either way.

I'm totally there!!! I loved the book and I hope the movie does it justice. You can't lose with Tom Hanks starring and Ron Howard directing.

Tom Hanks' new hairdo is a bit creepy.

I wonder if Harrison Ford would have been a better choice.

The mullet looks retarded. I read the first 30 pages of the book, and was totally bored. Won't be seeing this.

It just seemed like Langdon was the more athletic type, and a sexy professor type, like Indy Jones (though I pictured him younger than Harrison Ford).

I'm sure Tom can handle it.

What about the hair, though?

Dan Brown isn't much of a writer in terms of style, but I thought the books were anything but boring.

Just wasn't my thing, I guess. I don't like much contemporary literature; terrible writing, mostly.

Dan Brown said it was like watching the novel come to life... very complimentary for an author to say about a movie adaptation of his book.

lol Of course he'd say that; I'm sure he has a stake in the profits. And if it does well he can spin off more of 'em at a rapid clip.

The writing itself definitely sucks. It could have been written by any best-selling author. And each book is virtually identical. But I have read all of them. They're some of the best page turners I've ever read.

Take a single paragraph of his books and you might say he's a bad (or at least not notable) writer. But there's an art to giving a book momentum. And his books have incredible momentum.
