did u guys see the deleted scenes from the trilogy???

I love the scene where Michael got revenge on "Fabrizo" his bodyguard in Italy who set the bomb in his car that killed Appolonia.

Also there was a scene that should have been in the early days with DeNiro when Hyman Roth was introduced to the young don Vito Corleone.

eek wow, this the tv one where everything was put together to make on movie right? if so, i heard this one was less violent

A question that's been bugging me lately, I hope someone can answer. After Johnny begs Don Vito to get him the role in the movie and the producer turns down " The Offer ", how did they actually get the horse's head into the bed without Waltz knowing it, plus how did he not see the head prior to getting into his bed? That still is the sickest move ever.

this is simple:

they pay the cook or the butler to drug Waltz food,
putting him into a deep sleep.
then using a chainsaw they chop off the horses head,
after drugging it with the same shit they used on Waltz.
put the head in the bed

voila, well that's how i would do it.

This is sort of off-topic, but did you all know that Sam Casalas(sp???), the guy who played Frado used to be Meryl Streep's boyfriend. Unfortunately he died of a brain tumor. I think that she helped him through all of that. I read that somewhere, or maybe saw that during a broadcast of Dogday Afternoon. He was a great character actor. I think he was in the Deer Hunter as well.

Also, the turning point of the movie for me was Apollinia's murder. At that point, Michael lost himself to his family. In a way, he had no choice.

Great movies.

Ah... Sorry,I just couldn't remember how to spell Mr Cazale's name. Thanks for the correction. I don't understand about "a couple of posts above"??? Gosh, I must have missed it again--whatever it is that you are talking about. But thanks again for pointing it out. Whatever I missed, John Cazale was a great character actor who died too young. It's a shame.

As far as the turning point, I was just stating my opinion. Maybe that's what you are talking about?

I cant believe I avoided this thread for days, just because it was about an American channel! rolleyes

I LOVE the Godfather!! except 3, of course. 2 is the best, Pacino is just incredible. I cant really say much more!

I thought Sonny was brilliant too, when he goes after Carlo Rizzi Im just like "Kill him Sonny!!!" I hate it when he dies. Just not fair. My favourite parts are the end of part 1, where the door to Michaels office closes and he has become *shock horror* the Don. Also in 2, where Michael realises it was Fredo *again, shock horror!* who betrayed him, and he says "I know it was you Fredo. You broke my heart!!" Poor Kay though, I dunno, she just got sucked in.

I love those movies. I have a this poster above my fireplace nod

worship

Anyone here in the UK see the programme about the making of the movie the other might? It was really interesting, about all the difficulties they encountered trying to make and then shoot the movie under the watchful eye of the mob nod

Edit - found the poster! Also I love that pic of all the men!! so cool!!

well on the trilogy special feature dvd, there is a gallery of photos from all 3 movies and on set.

My favorite picture is one that is very rare. I don't think they have it on posters or anything...but it is a picture during the filming of GDFII, and Robert DeNiro (young Don Vito Corleone) is sitting in the Don's chair with his legs crossed and Al Pacino (Michael Corleone) is standing up behind him with his arms crossed..i think. That picture is so hot!!!! I've been looking for it online to see if i could order a poster of it but i can't find it anywhere.... i don't think its been released or something confused Just my luck huh?
