Converting AVi to MPEG

Hey,

I dunno if anybody here as tried burning videos to dvd but I've run into a problem. I cannot get my current videos to burn b/c they are AVI files. It says I need MPEG format to be able to burn the dvd. So the question is does anyone know where to get a AVI to MPEG converter that is easy to use. I've been searching and they are all eithier wierd or don't work for me.

any suggestions?

AVI2DVD is free...

The site may ask you to download the Microsoft Greek Language packs but just cancel the request as the pages are all in English.

Why not just buy a DVD Player which can play DivX files? I'm assuming your AVI files are DivX encoded?

Ok, well none of those are working. You see I have a few of The Office episodes and they are in AVI format. The DVD burner program Nero will not burn AVi files to DVD without them being MPEGs first. So thats why I need a AVI to MPEG converter. I thought the AVI2DVD program would work but I can't get it to even give me and option on the Audio stream part. geeez it's irritating

You mean, the drop-down box was greyed out?

Under the Audio Stream I click the drop down menu and there's nothing there. I have my job loaded and all other fields filled out and there nothing in under any of the audio streams.

Install everything listed on this thread...

Then reboot your PC and try running the AVI2DVD program again.
