I think you are, yeah...
I never even think about it until I'm actually at the airport..and when I am at the airport, I'm usually excited and in a good mood. Love the start of any trip...

Okay. Stay awake all night and when you get on the plane, your ass will pass out! That is the way I do it. Right before you pass out, tell the stewardess to wake you about thirty minutes before you land. Get some caffeine and you are good to go! I really don't like flying, myself. I'd rather drive. Now if I had superpowers and could fly on my own, that'd be different.

I'm only screwed in the head once I'm ON the plane and start thinking about all the bad things I've done.
Quite often, I drug myself with NyQuil, etc., so that I'll be relaxed before the flight and out like a light when I'm actually in the sky. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

In the future, consider 200mg capsules of Eschscholtzia from an herb store. When I had to fly back to L.A. from France I went to a pharmacy and told the guy I wanted to fall asleep during the flight. I've used them a few times during long flights. It works great and you don't feel dopey when you wake up. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I like to fly but start to not like it about half way there. Just being couped up for a few hours makes you want open spaces, fresh air and sunshine. I just bring my own water ask for ice. And stay half asleep through it.

Theres times I have flown long haul, to China or Indonesia, and havent packed, get woken up by the taxi driver beeping his horn, jump outta bed and think FUCKKKKK I havent packed yet!
So its the case of opening my wardrobe and drawers, lifting vast amounts of clothing and underwear (hoping something matches and I havent packed 50 tops and no bottoms or skirts) throw in my toothbrush and make up and run out the house.. I am crap.. lol if sexy was a colour it would be red

I am crap.. lol have you ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine gets stuck for a week or something with a tedious guy. so then she decides to send him back home on a plane and they oversleep the morning he has to leave. the dude is all "oh i'll catch a later flight" but Elaine, lol, she's like "you're getting on that plane mister so START PACKING" what follows is just hilarious, her packing his bags and getting him in his clothes in less than a minute and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Ex-Moderator | I love flying usually. I have had a couple of particularly bad flights, but in general, I adore it. I'm usually just so excited to go wherever it is I'm going. |

the only part of flying i dread is dealing with the airport. i really like flying, but i hate going through security, dealing with the throngs of meandering travellers, having to buy overpriced food if i'm hungry, etc. airports suck!

And they SHOULDN'T suck. There's no reason for it. But they totally do. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I went through a period of time when I was afraid to fly. All of the happy feelings involved with my flights to Indy cured me.
Now I actually enjoy the whole process, except, as Anx mentioned, the sucky aspects of airports. Find somebody ( ) to hook you up with a bar of Xanax. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

i HAVE to drink before a flight, ortherwise, my flying anxieties are unbearable. i have found white wine works best, because after a couple of glasses of pinot grigot, i couldn't give a shit less about anything. just get very social and glib and relaxed. I usually don't get nervous about flying the night before, it's the possibility of forgetting something that keeps me up. My main concern is getting a queasy feeling from motion, so I take Bonine sometimes a couple of hours to 12 hours in advance. It lasts for 24 hours, which tends to keep me semi-sedated, but at least I'm relaxed. It just knocks me out longer than I'd like, and I'm not in a good mood waking up for a crack of dawn flight when the Bonine just kicked in. One time I had to take Benadryl because of allergies, which is almost the same effect, but I still took Bonine many hours earlier for the motion. Double knock out.
