Is it *67 when you call someone you don't want knowing your name/number?

*67 right? This blocks your name/number from showing on their caller ID? Then what does show up?

it is *67--the word "private" usually comes up, or maybe "unavailable"...some people have a feature on their phone line that will disallow blocked calls from coming through, and you'll get a recording telling you that the caller is not accepting calls from people who block their number.

yep....*67 to block your number from appearing on caller ID

1167 if you're using rotary dial


usually "private" shows up on the receivers caller ID..however..as stated before..some folks have a feature through their phone service..that disallows private numbers from getting through..
