I don't know if you remember how I once expressed how i'd love to start painting!! Well, I bought a bunch of acrylic paints some messo (sp), pack of artist brushes and my first canvas a few monthz or so ago! Anyways, I have a funny little tendency to draw and then consequently paint eyes...as a feature of my painting. I've always had this tendency- which i kinda just related to my facination with heiroglyphics.

Well, the other week I had a dream. It was one of those dreamz where you're minutes or secondz before your eyes open. And I heard a woman say "Don't forget, Ocellus!" I woke up and i couldn't get the word out of my head!!! It drove me batty!! So I went online and threw the word into Dictionary.com...here is the meaning... (i swear i hadn't heard this particular word before but I know there are wordz that begin with the letters Oc are reffering to the eye ) ...

1) A small simple eye, found in many invertebrates, usually consisting of a few sensory cells and a single lens.

2) A marking that resembles an eye, as on the tail feathers of a male peacock; an eyespot.

I'm still profounded by the dream...!!

The quality of the pics i've taken of my pic are shoddy and it is my first painting for at least 10 yearz, so I like the way it sitz in my room though, i feel like it'z my own little personal touch!

Even though I posted this as a joke.....I took it as a serious picture. I think there are lots of ways it can be interpreted.




I'm really sensitive about my more obscure photo work, so I don't scan them or post them. I have no problem plastering my face all over the net though.....ironic in a sense.....

Thankz!! It was an initial run to get everything out of my system really! The red berry tonez are representative of my passion for alot of thingz in life! The eyes are like windows to the soul, as the saying goez, so the eyes are also a representation of 'seeing everything around me.'.or having scope. It is also a representation of the people who are 'around' me, and having those eyes there are a reflection of my value for all of them. The tri-coloured rainbow is a throw back on the rgb spectrum, minus the green i put yellow cause it felt right I also made it simultaneously act as music bars- although there should techically be eight, but for the purpose of the painting, it has three! So the treble clef and the notez lend themselves to my love love love for music! The hand at the bottom right is what i call 'The Upper Hand'- it's a reference to a Higher One...God...who I acknowledge as a factor in any creativeness I have. And the hand is writing "Listen...Look" just a message i felt at the time. The angel is a reference to my own Soul. It has no halo- therefore it is unconventional.

Hope that wasn't too boring!!
