Why does

Vinyl... records...

I have a lot of them, but I'm just ripping all of them to mp3 now so I can sell some, if not all of them (some are rare, and I need the money).

So I was wondering... why does vinyl emit a pleasing perfume?

Surely it's not just me...

But it smells really good!

Why?! And no, the jackets aren't perfumed as with Madonna's Lika A Prayer LP.

It smells like antiques, but mixed with an incensey smell that is almost like... the smell of jazz musicians.... or something!

Vinyl smells like vinyl.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
