RIP, Bunny Boy FloJo, our sweetheart of an ornery bunny boy, died today.
we rescued him several years ago. one of my favorite memories is to have all of the animals in the back yard - the dogs, the cat and the bunny - spending a peaceful afternoon just hanging out. recently, FloJo suffered from "old bunny paralysis" and i couldn't get him to eat or drink. so we let him die in peace, spending time with him and trying to make him as comfortable as possible. nothing much the vet could do, so we let him go to bunny heaven. here's to all of our companion animals, who are now frolicking in heaven. do you have any animal friends who have joined FloJo in the big meadows in the sky? remember them here...

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to have my dog put to sleep just after Christmas because he had a brain tumor. I came home one afternoon and he was staring at the ceiling and he couldn't hear me or see me. He kept running in the opposite direction from me and he wouldn't respond at all. The vet said he probably had a stroke. He had several seizures within about a day and we had to put him to sleep. He was 13, but everyone thought he was much younger because he had so much energy. The only thing that gave away his age was that he had some grey hairs. He ran everywhere and had a real zest for life. I still miss him so much. We expected him to outlive our other dog(who is the same age) by quite a bit. He was probably the strongest Scottie who's ever lived. He was huge by the breed's standards. I guess it shows how you never know. My dad died just before Thanksgiving so the holidays really sucked this year for me.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your bunny, FloJo (cute name, by the way). I know how it is to lose a pet, I've lost two cats already. Scooter at age 11 to cancer, and Shadow at 14 years of age to kidney failure. It is so hard losing a pet, they become like your family. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

FloJo and his brother Jackie were obviously named when they were little and we were under the (later disproven) belief that they were girls...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... I can't read this poem without crying. It is so beautiful! Make sure you have your tissues with you. I made the mistake of reading this at work, and had to go into the bathroom to compose myself because I was crying so much. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I like to think that they're with my parent's cat, Christopher. It probably would be easy to not be able to tell a boy bunny from a girl bunny. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
