Like you say, lots of teenagers have these symptoms, I sure did. I'm not crazy putting a label on feelings, because then medication tends to follow. Especially things like A.D.D. or BiPolar since these are kind of natural feelings for kids to have. Medication teaches kids to use drugs to deal with their problems. Prescription medication generally makes me feel worse than the original problem did.

The question is are you spinning out of control? If so you might need some professional help. Most of us just need a few years for the hormones to dilute, and some good friends.

Sorry to make assumptions. It's also the case for teens/20somethings that their lives are very turbulant.

But again I don't think that medication is the way to deal with "going through a lot these past months." You might need to deal with whatever you're going through.

Okay. But you're talking about conditions that people generally treat by taking medication. I've been depressed my whole life but I never particularly wanted any diagnosis or to be labeled as having a disorder. I'm sure some doctors would have put one on me, but I felt that my feelings were normal, I just was dissatisfied with my life.

It's true most family doctors would try to perscribe a pill, but bucket never said she wanted to take a pill and she said she was going to see a therapist, those people can not perscribe drugs.

and I feel the same way about myself, I don't want to see anyone. I don't know how normal that is though. sigh

Therapists can be good, it just takes a while to make real progress, even with a good one. Some people get frustrated because they expect too much to happen right away.

Let's stop this before I have to make this thread go Bye Bye.

Bucket is NOT being dramatic. Her thread seems to have been made in a genuine quest for information.

Spooky's experiences are his own. No one on this thread is in a position to say what he was feeling was authentic or not, or what his motives were behind posting his emotions at the time.

Let's try to be supportive of eachother. Turning on eachother helps no one.
