There's a Spring in my step today...

cuz I'm listening to Prince for the first time in (mostly) 40 days! Hot damn, it makes me happy.

I'll detail more about it in Part II of my Putting the Purple In2 Lent series over in P&R.

a renewed appreciation for it. a chance to put things into perspective. and to reflect on what is valuable, and why.

it's like a detox for the soul.

Yes, agreed. And by giving something up - whatever that is - you start to really see what the alternatives are out there for you... and that is reflected in other areas of your life as well. It's really quite an inspiring practice...

Okay y'all. If I had to give up Prince, food and smoking for a month you would see me on the 11 o'clock news.....

Wanna hear something funny? I have often thought about giving up Prince for lent (no listening to his music, watching his videos, etc). But I never have, because for me, it would be too hard. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

i really have a new found appreciation for the org and my friendships that have grown out of it. when i gave up Prince, i included the Org, not thinking about how much non-Prince interaction I have here. I missed the many friends I've made here. A lot. It's sooooo good to be back.

YAY!!!
