What are some of your experiences? Was the test easy? Did you fail a few times?
I might have to take it soon and i'm terrified ...I'm taking lessons and I almost hit a few cars. My cousins father is teaching me, but it seems I can never turn around the corner the right way, I'm either not close enough or on the side walk.

I was hitin' cones like you would't believe. No, seriously, the hardest part for me was the Parallel parking. My intructor, he wasn't really payin' attension. He pretty much had his head down the whole time. When it was done he looked up and said "Ok, you passed". I thought Damn, I did.

I was nervous as hell when i took my first test, and i failed. The next time i knew what to expect, so it wasn`t that scary, and i passed.

Just practice enough, and don`t feel bad if you have to try again, GOOD LUCK

As soon as you get in the car, state "I was very nervous, so I've had a couple drinks. That's not a problem, is it?"

I don't drive. I took a few lessons but had this horrible feeling that I wanted to crash. Not long after, I went through a spate of fainting for no reason whatsoever, so I gave up on the lessons.

What annoys me is all the guys my age that has no respect for the speed limits, and drives around in their ugly spraypainted cars with nasty cheap 15-year old girls.

Just go with the Brady Bunch Method and imagine your driving instructor in their underwear when taking the test.

oh god....I had to take it three times Third time was a charm I just wasn't ready the first time....I knew it too, but I was so desperate to drive alone At the beginning of the test, I almost pulled out into oncoming traffic on the first try I was suprised the test continued after that. Parallel parking killed me too....I messed up on that both tries. It's just at the time, I lived in an area where people just don't have to parallel park, so that's why I kept messing up. It gets everybody there. I'm ok with parking now....well kinda. On test, you have to back up a few feet in a straight line.....I couldn't even do that. I started on the right side of the road and ended up in the middle Anyway...just keep practicing and you'll be ok. That was my mistake....I tried taking the test without much practice.

yeah...on my second try I kept hitting the road dividers. I was just so nervous. The lady who took me out was pregnant and there was this other woman in the back seat. I have no clue why they had two people taking me out.....it just made me even more nervous.

I had practiced for my test in my older brother's 1976 Chevy Vega. However, the day I took the test, he was still away at college so I had to use my dad's 1984 4-door Lincoln Continental instead (HUGE MF'in CAR!). I passed by one point, but at least I only had to take the test once.

me too! the instructor says I should have failed because I swerved dangerously but the examiner was under examination herself and missed it meanwhile pulling off points for stupid things like waiting for a 1 legged man to cross the road instead of running over him.
