I didn't know you smoked. eek

Yeah, started about 2 years ago, but didn't smoke that much every day until just over a year ago. I've given up for weeks at a time and often cut right down to under 10 a day in the last few months, but haven't quite managed to kick it yet.

Good luck. I kicked the habit about 2 and a bit weeks ago for the second time (took it up againv voluntarily when school got stressful). I've found the best thing to do (for me) is finish the pack and throw away your lighter, then just stop. No weening, just stop. smile

Set yourself a goal each day - even if it's something small. My goal today was to have a shower and brush my teeth - and I did it. smile

I haven't left my flat since Friday. I was invited out last night to go to a friend's house and play cards and stuff, but I just couldn't psyche myself up to get ready. It was literally too much hassle to shave, shower and stroll to their house.

Now, I used to get mad at myself for wasting my weekends like this but now I don't. I like my own company - there's nothing wrong with liking your own company. If people tell you that you need to be socialise 24/7, that says more about them, than you.

Fauxie, it soundz like u are depressed. If you are unable to set small goals and achieve them (like finding value in your life, getting a job, and interacting with other people outside of your home), YOU MUST SEEK HELP. There are places where people can help you through your rough time. Just ALWAYS remember that YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this world. There IS help.

Savour

you have to separate your business from your personal
you need to eat, which means you need to make money
you can cry when you go home to bed at night

manage your day and your time

Ok, let's put this thread to bed. I'm a cat, I'm on my feet and I still have at least 7 lives left. I just keep coming back. smile
