Hey, I recently got a Creative Labs MP3 player, and I was looking for that exact feature for videos on my player. There are two programs you should download.

1. DVD Decrypter (Which rips files to your computer and removes that annoying copyright protection)

2. Auto Gordion Knot, which allows you to convert files into DivX or Xvid (which has MP3 audio compression, very nice codec).

These programs are both freeware, very streamlined, small, and relatively fast. Conversion tends to take a lot of a computer's resources. For me, it took about 4 minutes to rip a file onto my computer, and about 30 minutes to convert a 22 minute show into a DivX coded MPEG. Here is a great instructional guide that you can use, but it's pretty straight forward. It's for Zen conversion, but it works as well for just putting them on your hard drive.

Good luck

DVD Decrypter (oh, someone has already said) and Dr. DivX are best for non-nerds.

Try PowerDVD 5.
It's only 85 bucks more than free.

Cool! I have DVD Decrypter for ripping and burning, etc, but I wasn't sure about the whole conversion thing - thanks for the info - this should help! smile
