This breaks my heart.

Does anyone know if there are any advances in this field on the horizon?

I has truly disturbed the shit out of me.
Can't we find a way to repair spinal cord injuries?

It just seems like we live in the dark ages. Something has to be done.

GarythenoSlutHamster posted that link and I've been reading it and it sounds promising. But I really really really want this girl cured.

The only way to progress the field of stem-cell research is to hope and pray that the people holding it back suffer equally crippling injuries. Until then we'll only get research that makes money such as the advent of low cholesterol pork and cows that produce 3 times the normal volumes of milk.
