No she should not feel guilty she worked her ass off to get everything she has, she has given to countless charities and such. People should not hate just cause she has the money they don't. Go Oprah...laugh all the way to the bank you deserve it.

I agree, though I certainly would've chosen different words to express myself about it.

I actually understand the designer sheets comment. I remember when I started working in HIV prevention. I swear I went home daily very sad and really shakened. I asked my supervisor how is it that she can listen to all of the sad stories daily and it not get to her emotionally. She said, she has a home, a car, etc. She told that there's a balance that you must have in helping others. You can't be upset because you have and they don't. She told me to stop taking home (emotionally) the work. It worked. Doesn't mean you're less compassionate but you just understand that if you were in the same position then you couldn't be a blessing. Any sort of abundance is to be shared. I think Oprah FINALLY understands her wealth.

i think when you start letting your money take over your mind, you lose your humanity. it's one thing to enjoy the finer things, but letting everyone know about it is a really ugly trait, in my opinion.
when i lived in new york and saw movie stars shopping at my local supermarket or biking around town, i had so much respect for them. they were acting like damn human beings. i feel sorry for the oprahs of the world. they may have everything, but they've lost the experience of being part of the world. oprah can't walk out the door and go get a cup of coffee by herself. she can't go browse for a book at the library if she feels like it. she doesn't have a need for a public library anymore. that's sad. and it's great that she works with charity, but to be honest, i have a lot more respect for prince, who gives lots of money to charity and refuses to make a point of bragging about it. that takes humility, which is something you wouldn't think prince possesses. but i think it's damn impressive of him to give that way. anyway, look. i don't think oprah is the anti-christ. i have issues with certain things she's said and done in the recent past, and i have doubts about her sincerity at times. but if people have been helped by her, then i hope she keeps on, for better or for worse.

Well she works hard and really is a great woman. She shouldn't feel guilty for what she has. She has worked for everything she has. She deserves it my opinion. Besides she helps people who need help all the time. I love Oprah!

I don't understand why a person of wealth should have to explain anything to anyone; wether the money was earned or not. As long as it came honestly, there is nothing to explain. Why should Paris Hilton be ashamed to be alive? Because her parents have money and hooked her up? Thats just silly; most parents would do the same for their children, regardless of financial standing. Why should anyone justify being wealthy as long as they are charitable? That's a persons own decision to make, which usually has less to do with money and more to do with their moral fiber. If a person earns their money or someone in their family earned that money and saw fit for them to have some, why do we care?
