Zombie movies are great.Dawn of the Dead was feckin great too.When i saw the Zombies sprinting in that i very nearly shit myself.



a 3D version would be awesome.

Suposidly, it was postponed because the production crew wasn't happy with a couple of the particular "3D" aspects and the CGI sceens. However it is a done deal. They are just tweeking the film, they want it to be the best, and I am sure it will be worth the wait.

3 demonitial zombies, how fucking cool is that going to be? All I can do the past couple of days is walk around my house mumbling "zombies in 3D". I can't wait!

I recently went to the local historical theatre here in Tampa and saw "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" in 3D.


It was the most fun I've had in a while!!!

The Best 3D movie I ever seen was "Friday the 13th 3D" the third instalment of that movie series. The glasses however were not the tipical Blue/Red, rather the glasses were smokey but with grooves in them closely spaced kind of like one of those little old 3D stickers that change by angle.

By "not again" I am assuming, you are talking about the "dawn of the dead" nightmare remake. I would agree with you. Romero had to let that idiot remake his film, baddly, so that he himself could get the green light on the "Land of the Dead" Movie.

In fact Romero alowed his "Night of the living Dead" to be remade in 1990, and it actually wasnt' bad at all. I quite enjoy it.

Romero has given his blessing, from what I understand, to this remake too. And although it is "based" on the orignal, in other words it will be changed, it is looking to be a good show.

The latest word is that it has a new script, WITHOUT the character of Ash in it. Since the fan backlash has been so strong to the idea of anyone playing Ash but Bruce, the filmmakers decided to basically make it a new story set in the same universe as the other ED films.

Personally, I'm sick to death of all the horror remakes, particularly to films that DON'T NEED a remake. Some films I don't mind seeing updated, but this latest trend of mining everything made in the 1970s and 80s is getting old, particularly when the new films are so substandard. If you could actually do something interesting with a remake, then cool, but I haven't seen it with this most recent crop.

A perfect example of what I'm talking about is The Amityville Horror. The original has long been criticized for not using some of the scariest moments from the book, and many have noted that George Lutz's own, firsthand accounts are way scarier than anything in the novel or film (whether or not those are true is debatable, but they are freaky, nonetheless). A remake sounded like a great idea to me, since it was a golden opportunity to tell a creepy story. Instead, Michael Bay hired a bunch of hacks to bang out a script that not only didn't reference the source material, it also mined several other horror films (A Nightmare On Elm St and the Poltergeist films had scenes blatantly ripped-off from them). What could have been a great film was, instead, a pathetic rehash of crap we've already seen before.
