I went out to dinner tonight with some friends from work and F-E-L-L in the restaurant! On top of feeling like a big ole ass, I fell on my knee and had to go to the ER. The ER doc says he thinks my leg isn't broken, but he wants to get a second opinion from the Ortho doc tomorrow. They're supposed to call me

Anytime. Had something kind of similar happen to me a couple years back. I was running home from the bus and tripped on an uneven sidewalk. I fell and banged my knee pretty hard and wound up going to the emergency room, just as you did. They did xrays (which hurt like mad, because they had to put my leg in different positions to get pictures of it). I was in so much pain that the doctor thought I had torn my tendon. They put a temporary cast on my leg and gave me crutches. The next day my leg was feeling much better, but I went to an orthopaedic doctor to have it checked out more thoroughly. Luckily the tendon was not torn, I just had a badly bruised knee (and I broken front tooth, which I had to get fixed).


I hope your leg is not broken.

I'm so sorry to hear about your tooth! The wierd thing about my fall is that I as super close to cracking my tooth too! One of my friends told me that my face was about a half an inch away from a counter and she thought I hit my face on it!
