I'm sorry, I'm not hatin' on modern video games by any accounts.
As a matter of fact my favorite game right now is a Real Time Strategy called "Ages of Mythology", a psuedo-sequal to Age of Empires II

But I have a soft spot for the old 8-bit games, my all time favorite behind this bitch here:

I programmed it myself in my basement.

No it doesn't! Space Invaders had the protective buildings between the aliens and the player's starfighter. But in Galaxian the aliens also charged towards the player, whilst in Space Invaders they stayed fixed within the horde's horizontal movements.

Galaxian was more playable.
