I realized the other day that when it comes to technology...I'm wa-ay behind the times!

I do NOT own;
- a scanner
- an iPod (or any other mp3 player)
- a digital camera
- a palm pilot (PDA?)
- a bluetooth (or any text messager)

I guess that makes me a gizmo-caveman. sad

What about YOU?

i have a scanner/copier/printer jobbie that really wasn't all that expensive for all that it does.

i have a nomad mp3 player that's starting to look a little clunky, but it's yet to let me down and it has 40mb, so i'll keep it a while longer.

i have a digital camera, but heck if i can figure the thing out. i'm a hideous photographer.

no palm pilot.

text messenger? i can do that with my cell phone.

Bluetooth isn't a device, it's a technology that allows devices to communicate with eachother. It's a short-dtstance wireless connection. Say you have pictures on your cell phone and you want to transfer them to your computer, if both devices are bluetooth capable, you can transfer the pics from the phone to the computer without having to plug in a wire. There's digital cameras coming out now that do the same. There's also wireless keyboards and mice that are bluetooth capable. Wireless headsets for your phone too.

IPods - nah, cuz I hate Apple products, LOL. They're too pretentious looking and overpriced. I may eventually break down and get some kind of MP3 player though, once car decks start supporting them, I hate carrying around a bunch of CDs.

Palm Pilots - They're a waste of money. You can find most of the same features in a high end cell phone, why bother carrying around two seperate devices? The pen thingy is cumbersome to work with too, since you have to learn all the gestures to write with it, sometimes its easier just to punch in everything with buttons instead.

Scanners - You can pick em up for under $40 nowdays, why not get one. They come in handy now and then.

Digital Cameras - I love the tiny Nikons that have been coming out. It reminds me of shooting with a Lomo LC-A in some ways. Very simple, limited features, and easy to carry around and capture spontaneous moments.
