i heard a big wind, and the sky looks a bit strange...


then i hear the new warnings on TV that alert us of weather and whatnot - but, this one is different...


i went in to see what it is they are talking about... its not a drill... its an Amber Alert

apparently, a teenage girl was taken by gunpoint this morning by someone considered to be highly dangerous... the warnings said, if you know anything or see her, please call 911.

INDEPENDENCE, Kan. -- A 16-year-old girl's harrowing tale of being abducted at gunpoint from her family's driveway was a lie, authorities said Thursday, declining to say why the girl perpetrated the hoax.


The police and FBI said Kelsey Stelting acknowledged Thursday morning that the abduction "did not happen" and that she spent more than 16 hours alone in an area southwest of Independence.

I can't not believe she had the nerve to make this shit up....I woulda beat her ass if I were her parents...I heard about this on the news tonight.

Missing teen found safe

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Oh -- A teenage girl whose disappearance sparked an intensive 13-hour search and an "Amber Alert" is home safe.

Amanda Mullikin-White, 14, is a freshman at Cleveland Heights High School. About 2 p.m. Sunday, an "Amber Alert" issued by Cleveland Heights police interrupted radio and television broadcasts with a description of Amanda and a request for the public's help in finding her.

About three hours later, a friend saw Amanda walking in Cleveland Heights, and police were called.

Michelle Babets, Amanda's sister and legal guardian, was relieved but bewildered that Amanda had not come home Saturday night and had not called. Amanda has lived with Babets in Cleveland Heights for about 1 1/2 years.

Mullikin-White explained that after seeing a movie, she walked to Cain Park, climbed onto the roof of the amphitheater there and slept.

But police were skeptical of her story. They said her clothes were clean, making it unlikely that she had climbed onto the amphitheater's roof.

Amanda said she saw police searching the park Sunday and heard them calling out her name, but she was afraid the commotion would get her into even more trouble.

(...Her friends later began leaking that she had really spent the night with some boyfriend her parents didn't like, and she knew about the alert the entire time.)
