I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie. I'm totally straight, and Olivia is ONE HOT MAMA!!!

I love the extended version of "Xanadu" that they perform at the end of the film. The rollerskaters at the front of the line crack me up because they are getting a little too much into the performance. The cowgirl part is fun too.

I had a huge crush on Olivia Newton John when I was in about third grade. I watched Grease every time it came on cable!!! I begged my parents to take me to see Xanadu when it came out, but they just looked at me funny. When it debuted on cable, I watched it over and over. I remember thinking the flick was pretty damned weird, but I didn't care. It had Olvia, and I really liked the music.

One of my best friends is crazy about ELO, and he will defend the Xanadu soundtrack to anyone who tries to ridicule it. A couple of years ago (shortly before I met my wife), we were in his car and he put on the soundtrack. We went down the street singing at the top of our lungs. At one point, I turned around to him and said "y'know, this might be why we don't have women!"

Y'all are killin me! I'm gonna watch it again- if I had a dollar of evertime I've seen it, I'd be Bill Gates rich!

I didn't see it for years and years after it was in the theatre. Somehow, I just never managed to catch a complete showing on TV. It was only in the last six months that I finally had a chance to sit down and enjoy it from beginning to end.

gotdammit! if my apartment were big enough i'd totally throw a xanadu-watching party. i love that movie...it's so bad, it's good. a girl who lived in the same dorm i did when i went to job corps got me hooked on it.

Okay, so talk about WEIRDNESS, I'm sitting at least 6,000 miles across the Atlantic from you all and XANADU came on LAST NIGHT !!!! I caught the end after getting some work done at about 10pm my time, but stayed up to watch the 1 AM repeat, !!!!! So I get to the part where I'm watching them skate all over the place for "Suddenly" and I'm thinking, OMG, how much did that dude look like ANDY GIBB (who I used to LOVE as a kid)?!?
