I drive my husband nuts because I've watched dozens of movies dozens of times and will pick a movie I've seen a dozen times over one I've never seen.

This movie is a true guilty pleasure for me. I was 10 years old when it first came out and must have totally worn out my 45s of Magic and Xanadu. I even had the comic book! I wonder if that's worth any money these days.


I always thought the basic plot and structure for the movie were very sound and would lend itself to a proper remake. I wish the original wasn't quite so dripping with late 70s cheese. They really went overboard with some of the "effects".

This is SCARY on so many levels.

Partcularly the idea that there is someone out there who loves this scmaltz AS MUCH AS I DO!!!!!

You know my friends and I won the elementary school talent show with the rock-jazz medly, right? I directed and produced the whole thing, 10 people (4 singers, 6 dancers), put together the costumes,taught the songs and the choreography----and I think we were in like, 5th or 6th grade at the time, !!!!!

Gawd, life sure was fun back then ....
