A friend made me one once - she used butter in the pan, wheat toast, sharp cheddar Tillamook cheese... it was THE BEST grilled cheese I've ever had in my life

Well, I did use bacon this afternoon, but I ended up using pepperjack cheese and then added a thin slice of turkey. It tasted better with the ranch dressing than with the BBQ sauce, but both were good.

Update:

I haven't eaten solid food since Thursday on account of some oral surgery I had done....but this thread so tormented me that I just made a grilled cheese and though I wish I could have unhinged my jaw and swallowed it whole like a snake,I ate it very slowly and carefully in small bites.

Now my jaw hurts ( only slightly and it was worth it), my tummy is full...

and I am going to go sleepys.

When I make a grilled cheese, I use whole wheat bread, swiss cheese and ham. Sometimes a little BBQ sauce, like sweet baby rays, for dipping...

Some coworkers and I went to the Winking Lizard for lunch today, and guess what I had? Yup, a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Lemme tell ya, that sandwich hit the spot and tasted sooo good.

Best grilled cheese...

American, swiss, provalone, co-jack on Focaccini...
