$400. It was a lamb skin leather jacket. Black with white stripes down the sleeves. Loved it, and wore the hell out of it.

my good winter jacket was over $200 i think...
then i bought a nice spring/fall trench when someone mistook me for a delivery person in my old jacket

last year spring i bought a suede fitted jacket for $130
in that jacket i feel sexy and together.

generally my purchases are well worth the money - i don't tend to buy on impulse or without a lot of shopping for the best deals


i have a coat that i have loved for years and i would still wear it if i could figure out how to take out the shoulder pads

A hooded lambskin, wool-lined black leather jacket for around $300-375. Bought it either in high school or in college (probably college, had no credit in hs thank God ). The leather is pretty fragile in some places but it's still good & has never torn after all these years - I still wear it when it rains. Luckily it's plain so there's no "out of style" issue to fret about, it's just bulky as all hell. But it's warm

$60, maybe? For my big green fuzzy "snow coat" that I wear twice per year.

I live in a climate where layers make more sense than coats most of the time. A hoodie and/or a light nylon shell will generally do it.
