i only let myself have so much of that stuff. i don't have cable or a game system, but i have a netflix subscription that keeps me occupied, and a laptop computer that, oh my GOD, i'm actually using more for writing these days than for goofing around on the net and playing games. (i try to reserve all my net goofing off for during work hours, thank you very much)

I'm not a "techie,"so I think I've escaped a lot of the fallout. But I absolutely think typing all the time has hurt my penmanship.

too much handwriting has always given me really bad hand cramps. meanwhile, i can type 90wpm and get paid to type for hours when needed. so i guess that's a good trade off where i'm concerned. smile

I agree. My hand hurts for hours when I have to write extensively. Considering the ease and speed of typing, it's certainly a fair tradeoff.

...Well, maybe not "hours." lol

Lazy, maybe. I do feel like I've developed ADD somewhat from it. I used to be able to sit down at my drafting table and work on a drawing for hours. Nowdays, theres no way in hell I could focus long enough to do something like that.

I find that it actually makes me work harder....my mobile never stops, my laptop is always on, the IP phone means the office comes to me.....3g on the PDA means i can be in the car and working on a system 5000 miles away.....when will the fuckers leave me alone?????
