parker posey used to be one of my favorite actors. house of yes, doom generation, waiting for guffman, clockwatchers, party girl...so many fun movies. i forgave her for you've got mail because i understand she needs to make some cash. i was a little disappointed about her turn in scream 3 but at least she was the best thing about the movie (and it was pretty entertaining in the end anyway).

recently she's all but disappeared. she played a vampire villain in some god awful comic book movie and i was a little scared but for all the wrong reasons. a few weeks ago i saw parker in a pepsi ad. a pepsi ad!! what the fuck? ok, ok...a girl's gotta eat, i get it. after no work for a stretch i guess you take whatever comes along.

well today i lost a little bit more respect for miss posey. i'm wondering if those rumors of her smoking crack at someone's house party in new york were true. she is in a new film called adam and steve. it has about 4 genuinely funny scenes, the funny where i throw my head back and laugh kind of funny. other than those few moments, the movie really sucked. the writing was terrible and, even for an indie film, the over all quality of the film just looked cheap. not indie...just cheap.

i don't know if she wanted to reconnect with her gay audience (because we're so damned loyal, for real) or get some indie street cred back or what. note to parker: this is not the way to get people talking about you. here's to hoping for a better film on the way.

she was in doom generation? I only remember rose mcgowan in that movie.

She is doing some lame ass coke comercails and it does not even look like her...

she's going to have a recurring role on some law series (i forget which one), she's gonna be in the new superman movie, and she has something like three or four other films coming out this year. i think her days as "indie it girl" are long gone, but there's nothing wrong with being a working character actress. she's not a "star" anymore, but she's still getting cast and making money.

and i totally DON'T believe the crack smoking rumor.

Isn't she supposed be best friends with Cragi Chester or whatever his name is from the movie ADAM & STEVE?

Oh well. I miss her too. I actually liked her in BLADE 3. The outtakes are better than the movie.

I loved her in almost everything she's done.

it's one of my favorite movies too. up there with grey gardens and the glory daze john waters movies in my top five faves. the first time i saw guffman, i laughed so hard i wasn't able to laugh anymore midway through...i just sat there with tears running down my eyes, gasping...i don't think i'd ever seen anything so relentlessly funny in my life.
