Anx, you have ZERO tolerance for a certain brand of feel-good pseudo-profound movies, dontcha? lol

I can't belive that anybody would hate Contact, but seeing some of the other movies you hate, it kinda makes sense.

i like glitter! biggrin

wait, what kind of zero tolerance do i have? i'm pretty certain i have zero tolerance for certain genres, but i just figured they all involved meg ryan. lol

I just noticed while going over your most-hated that there is a certain type of film that you tend to dislike. . . I don't know how to describe it any better than feel-good pseudo-profound. Contact is a good example.

And you know that was Jodi Foster and not Meg Ryan, right? lol

excited

they have different packages. i am doing the two week free trial followed by 17.99 a month with three movies out at a time. once you watch one, you put it in the package which is already postage covered, drop it in the mail, and they mail you the next one off of your list.

my first three should be there waiting on me when i get home from work.

How quick is the turn around? I would watch all the series I have missed..... With I would have done that with 24... I spent a fortune on that!

See, all of these movies have a certain. . . feel. . . to them. It's very Hollywood-glossy-emotionally-manipulative. . .

I bet that's part of it. The emotionally manipulative bit. nod

Generally I get new dvds 2 days after the day I mail them. Sometimes 3, but usually 2.

If it's any consolation, I thought I Heart Huckabees was merely ok, whereas every other cool kid I know thinks it was the best damn thing ever. Ditto for Napoleon Dynamite.

The acting in Huckabees was good. I just can't say it delighted me.

Oooh, random thought: I need to go and give 1 star to every single Sandra Bullock movie. . . even the ones I haven't seen. . .

i thought huckabees was a bit too precious for its own good, but i liked that it was a lighthearted movie about spirituality. i thought it was a very "healthy" movie. i also love nappy dynamite for the same reasons as everyone else, but i think it got WAY overexposed. it was funny, but not THAT funny.

and, uh, i like the part in romy and michelle where they're talking about pretty woman. how about that?
