I used to be a huge John Lennon fan , i watched Imagine over and over. One part that always upset me was when the homeless hippy guy was sleeping in the grounds of his house and John was basically telling him he only wrote his songs for witchy Yoko .He was a really goodlooking guy and had a striking face and smile. He could have been an actor ,i always wondered what happened to him afterwards he just has the saddest face at the end dipping his bread in his tea?..anyway watch and tell me what you guys think.

I'm the homeless guy, and Fauxie is John Lennon.

It's kind of a sad scene from one point of view. It's simply sobering from another.

Many of us idolize these songwriters as prophets of a sort, and a lot of times they're writing from inspirations a lot less lofty. Bob Dylan has communicated a similar view in some of his more recent memoires.

I hope this guy did find some personal serenity and purpose after that, though.

John was so gentle with the fan, but he let the fan know that he wasn't welcomed. I admired John when I first saw the clip years ago..the beatles had screwed up lives because of their fans. George wrote a song "apple scruffs" about them.
I keep asking myself..what kind of music would john be making today, if he didnt stop to sign the autograph for chapman...or, as john said..did instant karma get him

thats depressing. he basically took all the magic outta songwriting as if it was nothing. i feel sorry for the homeless guy. must be disheartening to have a celeb your a fan of talk the music you like so much as if it was nothing.

Unlike a celebrity who really doesnt care and would tell him what he wants to hear.

he does look like some actor from somewhere. his face was too perfect. i'm sure lennon was trying to be realistic but music can sometimes mean so much more than just words and melodies. kinda hard to accept and analyze a song from a nonemotional standpoint sometimes.
