Baseball traffic?! Already?!?! Dammit!!!!

I just heard a message on the radio about bad traffic due to some Mariners-related thing (game? rehearsal? I dunno).

Is it REALLY that time of year already? Fucking hell.

I hate sports.

at least ya'll don't live as close to where sports events happen, like i do...it's scary on weekends right around the time people are heading to the metrodome for a twins game, because it seems like there's a sea of people wearing their twins shirts/jerseys/whatever walking around downtown. eek

yeah...for me it means swimming amongst a bunch of drunken yuppie fans and their screaming brood. funny thing is that the city's thinking/been talking about building a new baseball stadium that'll be only a couple blocks over from where i live. if that happens, it's gonna suck.

Yeah, that would be annoying if you lived within walking distance of a sports complex. Especially if it was football. At least with football, you only have to deal with those rowdies less than ten times a season. With baseball, it's 81.

Thankfully, the stadiums in Seattle are not directly in my path, but traffic certainly gets snarled before and after games.

And do you think people will take public transportation? NoooOOooOOOOOooo. Fuckers.

What pisses me off is that the city blocks of streets in areas to make traffic flow more smoothly for the sports fans. Excuse me?! They can take the bus/train if they don't like sitting in traffic! Don't punish the rest of us. disbelief

some people here in mpls park in one of the parking lots here downtown and they'll hop on the light rail since it stops in front of the metrodome...i've seen other people take the bus to head over here...but still there's folks who are dumb enough to take their cars n'chit.

I'm straight. I like some Sports. Seahawks and Sonics. I actually attend their games.
I don't have too much interest in the Mariners or Baseball.

Too each their own though. If some like Baseball, that's cool. If some don't. That's fine too.

I live ten minutes away from Shea Stadium so I kinda-sorta know what other people are complaining about. But I like baseball so much, I just plan my days around those traffic jams on home dates.
