I'm going to kill my sister-in-law Here's the story. I found out that one of her two kids was sick with flu-like symptoms on Saturday. Rather than staying home and giving him the rest he needed, she takes him into town to go shopping. Sunday she gets it too (serves her right!). But, rather than stay home, she again leaves home with both kids and my brother-in-law to visit the in-laws. Fortunately, I had to work this weekend (I never thought I'd hear myself say that!), but the rest of my family ended up going. While everyone was there, her other son starts puking. I talk to her yesterday, and now my brother-in-law is sick, too. Last night I wake up around 4am to my son puking. My daughter gets home from kindergarten a couple of hours ago, and she complains about feeling sick, and then she's puking about 30 minutes ago. It's only a matter of time before my youngest daughter gets it, too. I'm sure my in-laws probably have it, and I bet Rachel gets it too.
If I get this flu, I'm going over to my sister-in-law's house and puking on her at point-blank range! I'd stay somewhere else the next couple of days, but I may already be infected. WHAT THE FUCK WAS SHE THINKING?????

I completely understand your anger!! In fact, I just recently had this same basic discussion with someone because a co-worker had come into work with a high fever and still throwing up because "she had no more PTO left".
Well, I am sorry the co-worker had no more paid time off available and that's unfortunate, but if she was still barfing and had a fever she was being very self-centered and inconsiderate to everyone else in that office by coming into work in that condition. Beyond that (and what happened to you is a perfect example of this) by exposing everyone in the office to the bug, those office employees could possibly drag the bug HOME to other family members and infect THEM. People need to learn to stay the hell HOME when they're sick, and not expose everyone around them to their bug. Just stay home and get better. I hope your kids are well again soon, and that you don't catch it.

Yep, I talked to Rachel before I left for work, and she got a call from her mother at home who is now sick with this thing as well.
If my basement was finished, I'd be living down there until this is all over with.

But you know, kids can have no symptoms at all one minute and sky high fever the next. Some kids just get a bit quiet when they are unwell, others are always complaining about everything and you can't be sure when they really are sick I have felt sick in the stomach and it never amounted to anything, other times a little queasiness has turned into hyperemesis I say, you just never know, and it is very easy to be mad and see the culprit clearly AFTER the fact My sister in law's theory is if they stay at home when one of the kids is a bit sick they never go anywhere at all I'm a bit the same, although we have only had stomach flu once.
