i got the whole book collection as a b-day present when i was little from my aunt (she knew how much i liked to read)..the t.v. show was pretty good.when almanzo came on the scene it used to bother me when he called laura "beth".i would be thinking why is he calling her by another woman's name?
i found out...i was like, DUH.ME her whole name was Laura ELIZABETH Ingalls.then she married Almanzo Wilder. he called her "beth" and she called him "manly" that's about as SOOO unsexy as "Maynard" or "Willoughby"

Man, those are the dullest books, EVER! Sure, I see the educational value in my child reading them, but they really couldn't be any more boring if they tried. There isn't even really a plot, just a bunch of descriptions of day-to-day life out in the boonies. I frequently found myself nodding off while my daughter read them (which isn't good, since she's the one who needs to be getting drowsy, not me). I remember things at least happening on the show, beyond ma cleaning the stove and pa cutting firewood! well, they're not comic books! Most definitely not. All I'm saying is, when I read a book, I like there to be an actual plot. Like I said, I remember actual events occurring on the show. The books dedicate entire chapters to ma washing the clothes! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I love it! And just think - it served as a springboard for Shannen Doherty's career. Okay, never mind that. But Jason Bateman was on it!!
Michael Landon was my first crush. He had a nice upper body and great laugh. "She made me glad to be a man"

I HATED that show.
I only liked the episode where the father got shot. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
