Buring DVD Mp3 disk?

I have a dumb question. Everytime I try to burn an mp3 or data disk to DVD it does NOT work. I use Nero 6.0 and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can burn DVD movies but not data. Any idea why? Do I need to convert the files or use any program?

Any idea why this is NOT working. I follow the exact procedure as when burning a CD of MP3's except I choose the DVD option and drag the files into the program. Weird.

If You are using WindowsXP, there is no need to use another program.

WindowsXP suports DVD data disk burning.

It's as simple as putting the blank data disk into the drive.
Dragging the files you want onto the drive.
Right clicking on the drive to write the disk.

It is byond me why anyone would use another program for this while using windowsXP

It's because there are bundled software with DVD burners. Many don't know the drag, drop and burn feature on WXP. In fact when this gal was describing how she did it, I didn't believe her.

I use Nero all the time. I choose "Make Data DVD" and then it guides me through the process of adding fols to burn. I burn without doing the "Multisession".

The "bundled software" that you get with most pieces of "Hardware" are not a GIFT! They are there as a scam. They are semi workable programs given to you so that you might buy the full version of the software.

Personally, I throw the shit out every time.

The only bit of software you need with most pieces of hardware are the "driver"s

I am sure Nero is a good software. You misunderstood me. The software they "give you" with a piece of hardware, isn't a "gift", it is a scam, it is a marketting tool, it is in hopes to make that software a leader in the computer field.

Unfortunately, not everyone is "Computer Saavy" like me, but it is only because they choose not to be. To use something well, one must understand what the object is, and what it is used for. shrug

And if they give you NERO with your DVD burner? It's not a gift...nor a scam...just something to help you use the hardware you got. I didn't misunderstand you...in fact the opposite.

If you truly don't understand me, and in fact do understand what I am saying, then this is a "devil's advercate" type of argumentative based discussion.

It is a scam, and it isn't a scam, it all depends upon what side of the coin one chooses to put the money down on, in the flip biggrin

I'm about ready to pull out my hair. I tried both methods described in this topic and neither of them worked. Is there somewhere I can READ the exact directions on how to do this?
