24 Last night - Don't read unless you watched!

It's official...24 is on it's way out. At least for me.

There are no more canisters, no more regular cast members (thank you for saving Chloe), no more plot just a bunch of ridiculousness. I mean what the President is now the BIG THREAT? I find it hard to believe that that pussy of a president is evil or bad or had anything to do with any of this although that menacing, stern camera shot on him at the end suggested otherwise. Really, I was fine with Ray WIse as the obvious baddie...as it seemed plausible. What's next...we find out it's really KIM behind it all?

The thing with the president is entirely weird. I don't get where they're going with this.

Yeah, this makes no sense to me. I know they only plan out 5-6 episodes at a time, and last night's ending really showed that. It just doesn't add up. I'm hoping there is something else after all, but yeah, I also thought that the worst thing they could do is have Kim be behind it all. Frankly, that might be a relief now...

I saw an interview with Keifer Sutherland where he was saying that since they're starting the show later now (in January), they plan much further in advance; the story arcs for the season are already pretty much developed early on. So, that's no excuse. lol

Yeah, I was gonna say...the 5-6 shows out this was for the first 2 seasons (maybe 3)

this season seems all over the place, but at least they took it in an interesting direction last night. it wasn't just jack running around shouting and shooting at stuff for an hour.

true. but it was entirely unbelieveable. Hell, if they had shown to us it was Jean Smart or even the Dead SHerry :rip: I'd believe it.

I sorta think this season isn't as all over the place as last season. The threat would change every few episodes.

I'm hoping the next episode or two will make this twist seem less ridiculous.

I have been wondering the whole season what they were planning for that assistant chick, so I'm glad that bit is out there.

i'll give it a few more weeks to make sense. I did give a loud "oh HELLL no!" at the end, which is always a good way to end an episode.

I'm never watching a season of 24 again except on DVD. I hate the suspense. lol

It was surprising, I'll give 'em that. Hopefully they've got something good that they're gonna lay out for us.

(Side note: I'm about 2/3 through the second season . . . they actually set off a nuke! Awesome! woot! lol )

I did too...but it was more anger than anything and I think HELLA was used instead of HELL.

yeah, it's way better on DVD. At least it's not Lost. Where you get 1 new ep, then 3 weeks of repeats, then 2 new eps and then 5 weeks of repeats and so on....

it is MUCH more fun just to crank through a season in 1 weekend though!

You guys are all forgetting one thing. David Palmer and this President had some serious drama in the past. Hold on to your seats, it's going to get crazy and may have l o o s e conections to reality. Don't let the "TV" show drama fool ya.

If it is they will go out with a bang. The best TV show I've watched in YEARS.

It used to be for me too.

Lost is my new TV crack. It's mind numbingly riddled with re-runs.

I refuse to start watching Lost. I hate being addicted to TV shows.

But I'm glad I ended up stuck on 24, as how else would I have met my wife Chloe, and our husband Jack? mushy

My husband and I are currently OBSESSED with renting "24" DVDs. We started about a month ago and are already one disc away from finishing the third season. I love this show!! I have yet to see "Lost," but I hear it rocks.

After we burn through season 4 of "24", we'll move onto "Lost." Oh, and I've never seen an episode of "The Sopranoes." Should I?
