THE MISHEARD LYRICS THREAD...

We've all misheard things in lyrics...what are some of the more hilarious ones you've heard?

My ex-boyfriend thought the chorus "Rocket Man" by Elton John was:

"Rocket Man...burnin' all the shoes off everyone..."

lol

You?

For the longest time I thought "Die in spite of" in 7 was "Giant Spiders."

Both of mine are fairly classic in my circle of friends.

My friend Jolene routinely mishears lyrics. She thought a line in the Red Hot Chili Peppers song 'zephyr' was 'fly away on my cell phone' lol

And the worst was Gwen Stefani's Holla Back Girl. She at first thought the lyric was 'I ain't no Harlem black girl!' whofarted

laughing at loud at this thread

My mom has had a couple of funny misheard lyrics. The one that stands out is the 80's song "The Walk of Life". My mom thought they were singing "The Walk on By". lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This is not a miheard lyric but when I was growing up I used to go shop at this big ass mall in birmingham Alabama called "The Gallaria"

My mom has a strong asian accent and when a buddy of mine called my house, she told him I had gone to the gahneria (or so he heard. falloff)

Another one that I posted on another thread, but thought I would share it here as well: I'm STILL laughing at the one orger (forget who it was) who posted a misheard Prince lyric. His/her friend or acquaintance thought Prince was singing, "Everybody wants to fuck the greedy bitch", instead of "Everybody wants to find Graffiti Bridge". falloff
