It's hard for me to take people with gold teeth seriously! And not only that it's the #1 turn-off as far as women. I looooove the ladies, all of them. But when I see any female with a gold toofs,...aw man. Living in the South, all day everyday I gotta see grills (including a dozen or so of my ghetto azz cousins), and I don't even have to turn on a rap video. I hate that ish!! Always have, always will!!
As there anybody on this board with a gold tooth or a grill?? Is there anyone on here that is dating somenone with it or that is acctracted to it?? If so you need yo azz whooped, and I'm just the one to do it!! Gold gat dang teeth... Enuff of this. Tavis Smiley should have included a section in The Covenant about this very serious issue. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I imagine I have some country cousins I've never met who have them
But I hear you. I could meet the finest dude EVER but if he opened that yap & had them shits???!!! The convo would be cut short, even if they were removable. The fact that people can walk around w/ it like it's the shit to do is trippy to me. I know it's a southern thing but gat dayum, it's '06 up in hea!! It's just time to stop, the whole mentality is just

Why does the south catch on to shit 15 years late. That's played out. At least Flava kept his shit, and now it's back in style.

Oooookay. The South is where it started, kid. So it will never go away down here...which is the reason for my angst... I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

To clarify my post above, my music teacher was telling us a story one day about his travels as a young, teenage musician in the 40's and 50's. He traveled "somewhere" and another musician could identify him as a Nashvillian simply because my teacher had gold in his mouth. That was looong before Flava Flav or hip-hop in general was even thought about. I've seen people rocking multiple gold teeth as long as I've been in the world.
Enuff. And I'm not talking about popularization. But since you brought it up. I'm sure some Southern juke joint, Alabama/Mississippi blues musician had multiples looong before non-Southerners thought it was "popular" I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

It's definitely a Southern thing from way way back... Any time you see older Black folks w/ them (& you know they ain't followin' a damn trend ) it's some old shit

Gold teeth is nothing "new".
People in latin america have been getting gold teeth for DECADES...(if not centuries!). But you're absolutely right...how can a person with gold teeth be taken seriously nowadays? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Damn, y'all know about boiled peanuts up in here? I grew up in Florida, and I've never met anyone north of Georgia who knows what the hell I'm talking about when I mention them. Love 'em. But you gotta decide if you want the hot(spicy) ones or the regulars.

Oh, and to get back on topic, I absolutely despise people with gold teeth. They are surely the lowest forms of life on this planet. And I thought Wu-Tang Clan started that shit--at least w/rappers. I never saw anybody in hip hop with 'em until those guys. Now you have guys like Paul Wall who make them for other rappers, too. Time for some beatdowns. [Edited 4/2/06 8:19am]
