New York Groove
Ace Frehley

Many years since I was here
On the street
I was passing my time away
To the left and to the right
Buildings towering to the sky
It's outta sight
In the dead of night
Here I am, and in this city
With a fistful of dollars
And baby, you'd better believe

I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
Back, in the New York Groove
In the New York Groove
In the New York Groove

In the back of my Cadillac
A wicked lady sittin' by my side
Sayin' 'Where are we'
Stop at Third and Forty-three
Exit to the night
It's gonna be ecstacy
This place was meant for me
Feels so good tonight
Who cares about tomorrow
So baby, you'd better believe

I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
Back in the New York Groove
In the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove
I'm back, back in the New York Groove...

My favorite KISS singles album. Second was Paul's.

it's not brrooklyn, it's just a 10 foot radius of wherever 9s is at the moment

brooklyn is awesome. manhattan is fine for work and play, but brooklyn is a great place to go home to.

Do you know that I actually have the 8-Track to that.
Let me know if you want a copy.

And New York Was Great And We Loved It All
And New York Was Great And We Loved It All
But Time Was Riding Fast Upon My Shoulders
What A Shame
What A Shame
What A Shame

The Nighttime Was Painted Black With Fun
The Nighttime Was Painted Black With Fun
But All The Time The Light Shone It Through It All
What A Drag
What A Drag
What A Drag

And In Bars Drunk We Knew It All
And Promises We Spilled Out In The Night
And Promises We Spilled Out In The Night
What A Trip
What A Trip
What A Trip

And The Stars We Plucked From Great Black Skies
And The Stars We Plucked From New York Skies
We Placed Them All In Front Of Us And Laughed
What A Trip
What A Trip

cool

I haven't been to any major European cities, but most of the US cities. New Orleans will have to wait until the sweep up.

I love this city!
All the critics luv u in NY was my HS quote.

I can go on and on and on.

coffee and cheese cake at 3 am
Two boots pizza in alphabet city
the diversity is unbelievable.

But, it's not for everyone. I lived there for a bit and I used to describe it as 10 million people at your doorstep everyday!.

I have a love/hate relationship with New York.

I loved living there because there was always something to do and with so many people around, I always felt free to do my own thing. You don't really have to belong to any strictly defined group in NYC and I loved that to death. I met some awesome people and had an awesome time travelling around the place. I could hop on the 4 train in Brooklyn and get off on the upper east side and be in a whole other world. I miss walking around Chinatown and going out dancing all the time. I especially miss all the bodegas and getting bacon and egg on a bagel for $2.00 when I had to work on Saturday mornings.

What I loved the most about NYC is that you can be surrounded by so many people and still be alone. I mean, people really do leave you alone unless they're trying to sell something. Where I live now, everybody says hello to everyone else, whether you know them or not. I guess it's fine and friendly and everything but I really don't like having to talk to every tom, dick, and harry who walks down the damn street. I like to keep things moving.

What I don;t like about NYC is that everything is about money. Being broke in NYC is ten times worse than being broke anywhere else that I lived. It makes you feel unworthy and sometimes salespeople won;t even try to help you in the stores, unless the clothes you're wearing cost more than my college education. I also hated how the MTA keeps uping the prices for metrocards and the like and then go on and talk about their huge surplus. Sometimes I hated the noise. Every morning at 5am some jackass who didn;t know how to turn off his car alarm would set it off everytime he got into his car. One day I yelled out the window, "Turn your car alarm off before you get into the car, jackass!!" it didn;t work. neutral that brings me to the last thing that I didn't like about NYC, it makes people a little coarse and uncaring. Sometimes that can be nice but sometimes you need to be able to be a little human, too. I was much more hardened when I left that place than when I moved there and I'm finding it hard to reverse that. Perhaps it's just always been my nature.

All in all I love the place, though. I would definitely move back. nod

i heart NY to the fullest!
