Does iTunes store them in some apple format like AAC? then I would guess you need a MP3 player that supports that format.
I have a 3rd gen IPOD and it has been very good to me - I use mp3 files and use ephpod on my PC to copy them over and manage tags etc My boss has the Sony walkman thing that he is very happy with, battery lasts a long time as well. I think buying an IPOD is a "lifestyle" type decision, they might not have the best features and the best battery performance but they look the best and do work very well. Some others I have seen look too technical while my IPOD can be used by the wife without any problems. [Edited 3/31/06 3:54am]

For your Money get a creative Zen, they are fantastic, and If i wasn't offered my IPOD, i would of brought one.
8gb stores about 4000 songs, so look for something bigger than that... If u really wanna inpress your mates tho get one of these... GoGear HDD6330
I believe these are the best looking MP3 players around Keenmeister

There are two basic memory types: Flash and hard-drive based. Flash players like Creative's Zen Nano and the iPod Shuffle are keychain-sized, but typically hold only 25 to 250 four-minute songs: a significant factor, assuming you're not the type who prefers simply to put a single song on endless repeat. On the upside, because flash lacks moving parts, it's inexpensive, reliable, and shockproof—i.e., perfect for the gym. Meanwhile, hard-drive-based players, like the iPod or Sony's Walkman, can hold untold volumes of songs—10,000 and up. The downside is that hard-drive players are larger and more expensive, not to mention less rugged. Keenmeister

I believe these are the best looking MP3 players around I totally agree, boo, but there's just something sexier about iPods. The functionality of ALL creative products is more feature rich than Apple products, but Apples come with tons more aftermarket products. There's certain tradeoffs.

Ipods are for sheep, and everyone chooses to ignore their disadvantages. If size is an issue, I guess get a Nano, if size isn't an issue, this is roughly the same size as a reg. Ipod, 40 GB capacity, 15 hrs. min. battery life, and a remote. I love it more than my life itself.

![]() See i agree with U about Ipods, every1, even me wanted one, because all my friends had one, and really their not all that great, tho that Sony vaio? just doesn't do anything for me, but i dont know much about it; how much are they? and why would i want one instead of what i already have? Cus im thinking about getting rid of my 20gb ipod, for a colour screen Mp3 player, now the Phillips is so much better looking than the "ipod video", just wonder whats the advantages of the sony? many thanks Keenmeister
