Well...all your prayers worked! I was spared the axe at work today. Unfortunately, though, five people in my department lost their jobs and 55 people in our division (there were 700 in the division and there are 10,000 employees System-wide) were let go today...but, fortunately, I was not one of them.
I am so sad for my coworkers...it was a really upsetting day, but I am thankful.



...please say a prayer for me.

Things are tough here in Detroit because of the auto layoffs...and that affects our whole economy.

I was laid off in 2004 and then, as you know, in 2005 the house I was living in burned down (didn't have insurance because of the layoff in 2004)

So, I'm pretty scared.

A couple of people have already lost their jobs in the past week.

Well i can understand the trauma of layoffs. But if you have to, Minneapolis here is hiring, from what i heard American Express is hiring up to 50 more people here and my job here is hiring 10 more people with start pay up to 16.50 an hour!! I actually in good with the managers here who is hiring. If u want i can tell you where t og oonline and fill out application. Besides a lot of your friends are out here too and they'll help you. I'll orgnote it to you since you never put me down for anything on here i think!!
