further PUBLISHER help needed! c'mon techies!

so, thank you for the help yesterday. have one last call for help.

have it all laid out in publisher the way i need. when it prints though, it only prints two pages per sheet, and i need it to print on both sides of the paper for 4 pages per sheet, in that book style.

how do you set it up to do so in publisher? i know i will need to set it so that it print alternate pages and then refeed that set into the printer and print agian on the other side, but how do i tell the program to do so?

you would have to set it up in your print options/properties. If I was at home with a normal printer I would be able to help more sad

Is the book the size you want it?

If it's the size you need it you can probably just ask it to print one set of pages at a time...then stop...turn it over...put it back in the printer and then ask it so print the next set.

It's probably in the document set up menu (under File) or in the printer set up menu.

I don't have publisher here at work, so I can't say for certain.

the coffee machine moaned and purred.

the printer, however, is a mean bitch who refuses to cooperate.

unless someone figures it out for me, i am gonna have to do them sheet by sheet.

OR i could just take the shit to staples...

neither.

closest thing would be "properties", "page setup" or "print preview"

First try layout and tell me what it says

publication type, which is set to booklet, paper size, which is 8x11, orientation, which is landscape.

there is a button marked "printing options", but it is hazed out in that way that it does when you can't select that option.

I sure will smile oh yeah...and I'll be home in 2 hours (more than likely too late...)

There should be an option somewhere to print either the odd or even pages. Do one or the other, print all then flip and do the opposite.

are you printing so it will wind up a 5.5 x 8.5 booklet or you want a book print (page 2 on the back of 1) print?

Even without my home printer I think I'm getting somewhere (or at least know where you are...)

When you go to print does the box give you the option to select the pages you want to print? I know Quark and PageMaker do.

That's what I meant by the 5.5 x 8.5 booklet nod so the 8.5 would be the height and the fold would be in the middle of the 11. You need to change the page size to 5.5 x 8.5 for this option in booklet, then it will give you the gist of how it will print in the little picture on the right.
