Arnold Schwarzenegger is....

Just saw this film on tv over the weekend. It was the first time too, which is odd for me.

It wasn't that bad really, and surprisenly no love interest between arnie and the fine vanessa williams.

I did find it amusing when most times arnie "entered" the scene, a cheesy guitar solo would play. lol

It musta been the last big hit arnie had? I thought "last acton hero" was?

Anyway, it was more smplistic thriller, then action film, which, by looking at the poster, is kinda misleading.

Fauxie

Arnie makes the best stoner comedies out there.

I can't count how many times I've watched Conan and cried laughing.

'SLATS!' falloff

the movie was alright, but they could have had a sex scene, or at least a kissing scene. it was just a turn off that they didn't include this. it's the same thing in the "pelican brief" with denzel and julia, they should have at least kissed, a peck at least...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

as sad as it is, as u mentioned the pelican brief, i guess it might have to do with interacial sex scenes being "offensive" to dumb hicks in the US. Too risky to bother to include such a thing, so they just ignore it.

I don't understand this post. In the manner in which any Arnold Schwarzenegger might be entertaining, Conan is the best there is. Surely the whole point of watching one of his films is to hang shit on it? confuse

I mean settle down with a mate and a few beers and hang shit on Arnie's accent, his one-liners, the implausible story lines and ridiculous over the top action scenes. In that sense, I would agree Commando is a good Arnie film. One of his better ones in fact. I figure that is the point of Arnie films.

I respect arnie for his movies. Ur right, its all silly fun, but those movies are the best of those "OTT action movies" u will find. Arnie fully knows he has 0 depth, but his shit was new at the time, and "total recall" is one of the few deeper movies that really stands out.

Stallone can act well, but his 80's output is not near arnies. He got lazy with those rocky sequels too. And stallone always appealed to the working class pub fans, as his movies are emotional, unlike arnie, who feels little to no emotion in any of his movies.

Still, funny how critics love these rather crap comic book movies at the mo', where they are not only even more recycled then arnie movies, but have little humour (intentional or not) and gotta rely on a comic book character, and not an actor, to sell a movie. U get the comic book trademarks, but wheres the arnie one liners, the camp badguys, the inaudible stallone muttering? No more action stars in hollywood.

I was just surprised at the slightly mis-leading poster. Its not even sci-fi. Looks like a terminator (tagline says alot too). Hardly.
