I SWEAR I just learned how to make these from scrath 2 weeks ago!!!!! I just got a sudden nostalgia for American baked goods and just went psycho learning how to do homemade hot cross buns and cinnamon rolls one Saturday!!!!!

I'm telling ya, it's a long process, only because of the time it takes to let a yeast based dough rise( best done the evening before so it can rise nice and puffy overnight): but after your dough is done, it's totally smooth sailing from there!!! Get your ass up at 8 in the morning on Sunday and have those babies done by 9:30 am....! I SWEAR IT'S ONE OF THE MOST ORGASMIC FOODIE EXPERIENCES OF A LIFETIME!!!

.... One taste of these and I had people rolling around on the sofa and grinnin' like they were strung out on a "hot cross bun" high, no joke

The crazy thing is, I had to draw from, like, THREE recipes before I could figure out how I wanted to really do them...but it was worth it...! If I can figure out how to compress all that stuff into one easy-to-follow recipe they I'll let everybody know.

...again the only real pain in the but is that it's crucial you make the dough the night before, so it can use the whole night to RIIIIIZE!
