To NyQuil or not to NyQuil that is the question? I'm from the UK and have heard so much about how good this stuff is. I have got some from a friend who has just got back from the USA.
Is it really going to knock me out? I hope so, this damn illness is keeping me awake. So should I take it next to my bed just in case I pass out straight away

So should I take it next to my bed just in case I pass out straight away It will make you tired and will get you through an uncomfortable sleepless night... Be sure you have plenty of time to sleep and go for it. I love the stuff when I am bad off.

my opinion is if you're not close to death or in severe pain, do not take any synthesized medicines for anything. it is best to let you body fight off whatever sickness you're dealing with. Most medicines kill off the natural anitbodies that try to rid your body of the invading cold virus, which weakens your immune systems ability to fight off future viruses. by letting your body fight it off with only its defenses you're making your immune system stronger and more resistant to new viruses.

I totally agree. I have been ill since Tuesday last week and my doc gave me antibiotics today. I like to fight things off normally but this has got the better of me. Plus i have a business to run so need to get back to work soon. I took today off. I took NyQuil about 10 mins ago
