Damn, It's Such a Pain Having to Worry About Gaining Weight All the Time....

watching every single morsel of food that you eat, making sure you eat enough veggies and fruits every day, and not too much fat or sugar. I miss the days when I was younger, when I could really enjoy food, and not having to worry about weight gain 24/7. Getting older sucks!!!!! fit
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Sometimes I wish I didn't have to eat, then I wouldn't have this problem.

This has been a long time battle for me. I yo-yo like crazy. A couple of years ago I was doing so well. I was going to the gym, eating right and I was 30 pounds lighter. It's hard to get back to that place. My age doesn't help either. I will get back, it's just difficult. I also have a rotator cuff injury, that doesn't help either.

hug That's hard having a rotator cuff injury, my dad has one, and he says it's really painful. sad It is hard to get back on the right path once you've gone off it. The junk food just tastes soooo good! sigh

I've had it for about 4 years but haven't been able to take care of it. My employer has not be able provide health insurance because of my work status blah blah blah. The pain is really a nagging kind of pain not a I'm going to die kind of pain. But it still hurts.

Yeah, why does junk food taste good and food that's supposed to be good for you taste like cardboard. Well, at least, some of it.

That sux that your employer can't give you health insurance so that you can get the problem resolved. It would not be fun having to live in pain all the time. sad

Some of the good food does taste like cardboard, which makes it hard to get excited about eating it.

drink some lemon water. it kind of kills your taste buds for other stuff.

actually, it balances your body's chemistry. what happens with too much refined foods is you get acidic. the lemon is alkaline, which is how you should be. once you're kind of used to being alkaline, the acidic stuff will throw you off.

highfive That's a great attitude to have, and I wish I could feel the same way. However, if I were to gain too much weight my family would be the first to tell me, "You've gained weight; you used to look so good, what happened?" They wouldn't be saying it to be mean, but out of loving concern for me. rolleyes rolleyes lol

I've been using these for a week now with diet and exercise and I've lost 5 pounds. Their main purpose (apart from being a multi-vitamin) is to boost your metabolism with EGCG from green tea. I don't know how much that is effecting me versus the diet and exercise I'm doing at the same time but I do know it's suppressing my appetite very well. I would not be able to eat as healthy as I have been without these pills. I'm used to eating a king-size Snickers every day, as well as other junk food. (I'm 21 and my metabolism's pretty good so I haven't been gaining weight but I do have a little chubbiness left from when I was 14-15 and ONLY ate junk food.)
You should read the opinions on http://www.epinions.com and talk to your doctor first. Also make sure you take them in the morning and right after eating. That's what I've been doing and I haven't had any side effects whatsoever.

The more I have, for both are infinite." ~Juliet

Hey, the body's like a car. You don't maintain it, it turns to sh!t. Unfortunately, there's no magic pill - keeping in shape requires hard work, sweat, sacrifice, pain and changing one's eating habits. It has to be done, and the rewards are great. I rarely get sick, and it feels good when folks tell me I look way younger than 45. I allow myself one day a week for BK(or pizza), and that's it. For motivation, I keep my old driver's license in my wallet to remind me NEVER to be fat again.

For the first time in my life I've had to think about. I weighed the same weight for 15 years after high school. had my apendix out and gained 10 pounds in 2 years. That is huge for me as I was 118 forever. It's weird cuz I like the weight on my face but don't like the little chub handles. Guess I gotta start goin to the gym to try and recapture my perfect stomach bawl
