Baseball season - 2 games in

Alright, both the Sox and Yankees are now .500 teams.

I have a little bit of slack for the Sox loss, since it was clearly Josh Bard's new role catching Tim Wakefield's knuckleball that was the main problem.

As for you Yankee fans, you may get sick of Johnny Damon off the field (we Sox fans can't seem to get rid of him even now), but you are going to love him on the field - I hear he got another 2 hits last night.

it was a good game. Scott Proctor gave up the winning hit for the A's, but his 3 week old daughter was having surgery on her heart, so the loss ain't a thing. A-rod stranded runners 3 different times and made a blunder in the field. Oh well, things happen.

Wakey got lit up?

The Blue Jays won their home opener. Can't complain about that. I just hope they have a decent season and make it to the playoffs.

They certainly improved, but it's gonna be tough. The Yanks lineup is stacked, but the pitching health will determine how their season goes. I don't think the Sox have enough pitching this year. But with AJ, the Jays just may make some noise. The Orioles and D Rays will be fighting for last place, so the AL east should provide some good ball watching this season.

Are you serious? I think the pitching (at least, starting pitching) is one of our biggest strengths right now. And if we could get Clemens... not that that will really happen...

Unless you can get 7 innings every start, the bullpen is gonna hurt. Trust me, after last year, us yankee fans know about how a weak bullpen hurts.

Yeah, but we have some good rookies... Papeblbon, Delcarmen, Hansen... of course, we stupidly let Mike Myers go...

I'm just saying, that's always tough counting on unproven arms. Like I said, it should be a good year! Myers ERA against lefties is like 1.90, no way would I ever had let him go.
