I just turned 30 and I still get asked for ID constantly. I was at a restaurant with a friend the other day, and was asked my age. Everyone assumed I was in my mid 20's at best. I take it as a compliment usually.

I'll be 32 in a few weeks and I too get carded constantly (legal drinking age is 19 where I live).

I think most people these days look much younger than they are. My mother looks nothing like her mother did when she was her age. I always remember my granny looking well, like a granny. My mom does not look like a grandmother at all.

I probably did look my age when I had the beard. I think I took 5 years off by shaving it all, though. smile

So yes! YES I LOOK 40 and am prouddddd of it..... I earned every year. As a matter of fact I earned every year x's 2!

Well, if I were honest and I generally am to a fault ... then with all the sleep depervation I have earned every year 3 x's over... Which places me at 120....

Now, for 120 I look damn good.

wink

This obsession with looking younger then you are has gone into overkill..... and self deception often..... Why the hell would I wish to relive 20 anyway?

But it's not about trying to relive anything.

It's more about other people's perception of your age. Most people take pretty good care of themselves and they are aging amazingly well, and doing it naturally.

I look a little younger than my age. I guess wearing Hello Kitty/cartoon shirts and barrettes in my hair sometimes don't help the situation. lol

when I was 21 I was still getting into museums as an under-14 and still got carded as an under-18 when I was 28. But I'm sure now I look my age - but no grey hair yet! eek

I get carded all the time for cigs and alcohol. One time, I didn't have my driver's license with me and the guy refused to sell me a pack of camels. I've since quit smoking anyways, but it's nice that people think I'm so much younger. It used to bug me, but I love it now! lol

People always think I'm about 10 years younger than my true age. At 43 years old, hey, I'm not complaining, I'll take the compliment! lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Thanks. I figure that when I get to be 50 years old, people will mistake me for 40, and so on and so forth. My parents look younger than their true ages, and my brothers do too. It's gotta be in the genes! cool
