So last night I went to my niece's choir concert. She's a freshman in high school. When I arrived she introduced me to her friend as her Aunt Carrie. Her friend quickly proclaimed 'You look too young to be an aunt'. Isn't that sweet?
Then, as I was filing into the auditorium with my niece's mother, they were charging for admission and I realized I didn't have any cash on me. Lovely woman that she is, she offered to buy my ticket. When we got to the ticket table, she said, 2 please. The woman behind the counter looked up at us and said, "One adult and one student?"



I don't think I look THAT young. I've always felt I looked my age. But maybe not.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. Some times I look older than I am and sometimes I look younger.

I was told by a 19 year old girl that I looked 25 the other night. I was so flattered I bought her a vodka and sprite.

i have never figured it out. people sometimes overguess my age, and sometimes underguess.

Haven't been told I look young lately, but I remember several times people guessed my age 10 years to young.

I will be 25 this year, and most people who meet me without being introduced directly think I'm between 18 and 22. Most of the time that impression fades very soon though, when they catch the look in my eyes or when I start talking.

Last summer a police officer thought (or pretended to think) I was 15. I wanted to kill him so badly that moment.
