not sure how big she'll get, I checked the website and there's no mention of the size of terrier they think she's mixed with, the chihuaua at the biggest is what 10 lbs? also they don't fit them for the carts until they are 8 months old, that way the expense is only incurred once. they are fitting her with a harness to protect her chest, I am guessing she's getting around very well lol

oh... lord, she is adorable

she's beautiful! lookit those eyes. sweet pea is a very lucky critter to have you. i don't know much about dogs. but i have several special needs birds, one of which was never expected to live beyond a few weeks because he has a birth defect of the beak.

i have to monitor him constantly and trim his beak regularly and clean it to be sure he's able to eat.

BUT he's been with me for six years now and is happy and enjoying life and he's definitely worth the effort!

mushy That's so sweet that you adopt birds with special needs. They are more work, but definitely worth it, when you see them surviving and happy.

Most equiptment like that is best made. It really isn't that hard. You can make it of wood or with a metal frame and nylon straps.

Or you can train the dog to walk around on his back two paws. nod

yes he's a sweetie! sure things get tense when i roll him up in a hand towel and trim his beak (it grows into his mouth, instead of out and down like it should) but then it's all over, he feels better and we're pals again biggrin

Ya know, come to think of it, I recently saw a dog on TV that was born without front paws that could walk on her back legs. It was so cute, she looked like a little person. giggle

Ouch, that would hurt to have your beak grow into your mouth, that must be painful! Animals seem to sense when we're trying to help them, even though they may not always like the process. smile

well I did want to say they would then put a jacket on the dog that had human arms. lol

But seriously, some of the best things can be built out of stuff you find at a petstore and homedepot.

For example, if you got one of those body type harnises for walking dogs, you could then string it up to a metal frame to suport the dog off the ground.

giggle The dog that I saw on TV, her owners actually trained her to walk on her back legs. Not sure how they did that, but she was able to get around without using artificial means. smile

that's a front wheeled cart.

she could still sleep with you comfort. she would wake and since you would have to let her out anyway. My dog sleeps all night unless he hears something then he just put his head up and listens...lazy boy anyway sweetie don't worry you could still do all that with her. she will be being fostered and the foster parents will work all that stuff out wink
look at you worrying about her like a mama already hug touched
