she's beautiful! lookit those eyes. sweet pea is a very lucky critter to have you. i don't know much about dogs. but i have several special needs birds, one of which was never expected to live beyond a few weeks because he has a birth defect of the beak.
i have to monitor him constantly and trim his beak regularly and clean it to be sure he's able to eat. BUT he's been with me for six years now and is happy and enjoying life and he's definitely worth the effort! crap typing edits [Edited 3/23/06 11:17am]

They are more work, but definitely worth it, when you see them surviving and happy. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Most equiptment like that is best made. It really isn't that hard. You can make it of wood or with a metal frame and nylon straps.
Or you can train the dog to walk around on his back two paws. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

It was so cute, she looked like a little person. well I did want to say they would then put a jacket on the dog that had human arms. But seriously, some of the best things can be built out of stuff you find at a petstore and homedepot. For example, if you got one of those body type harnises for walking dogs, you could then string it up to a metal frame to suport the dog off the ground. If you have questions ask. The dog that I saw on TV, her owners actually trained her to walk on her back legs. Not sure how they did that, but she was able to get around without using artificial means. RIP, mom.
